Methodology and data sources

StatsClimat turns long-term climate datasets into city-level statistics. Every report identifies its source, analysis period and important limitations. Reanalysis and gridded data are valuable for comparing climates, but may differ from measurements at an individual weather station.

How reports are calculated

Monthly temperature and precipitation values are aggregated to produce annual means, seasonal profiles, anomalies and linear trends. Climate classifications follow the Köppen–Geiger framework.
